center into the ›standby‹-position before you remove the frothing jug from the steam wand.
Only thereby the steam generation is terminated immediately.
9. Once the milk has the desired texture and is sufficiently heated (to control you can gently
touch the bottom of the frothing jug - but you do not scald yourself), turn the selector switch
in the middle into the standby position, and turn the appliance off. Only then remove the
frothing jug down from the steam wand.
Important:
Clean the attachment after each use so that the milk does not dry on top (see:
›Care and Cleaning‹).
10. Pour the hot milk into your prepared espresso and add the milk froth with a spoon on top.
Note:
Turn after each steam operation the selector switch to the standby position (center),
so that the appliance can vent.

HOT WATER
WARNING: Hot steam or hot water escape from the steam wand. Never put your hands
or other body parts on or under the steam wand, when the selector switch is on the steam
or hot water position. Place a suitable container under the steam wand before you turn the
selector switch to the steam or hot water position.
1. Make sure that there is sufficient water in the water tank (between the MIN and MAX
marks).
2. Press the ›on/off‹-switch and turn on the appliance.
3. Turn the black folding switch to the hot water position.
4. Now place your cup under the steam and hot water wand. Now
turn the selector switch counterclockwise to the steam and hot water
position. The heating indicator lights up. The thermoblock is heated.
Hot water now escapes out of the steam wand.
5. As soon as there is enough hot water in your cup, turn the selector
switch into the middle – in the standby position.
Note:
Keep the steam and hot water wand always directed to the
drip tray if there is no container underneath it, because residual water
may drip out.
Note: During the hot water process, the heating indicator lights up. The thermoblock is
heated to maintain a constant temperature.
WARNING: Hot steam or hot water escape from the steam wand. These parts are very
hot. Always ensure not to scald on hot water or steam. Never touch the steam wand during
the steam or hot water production. Hold the steam wand during operation cautiously by the
attachment. Be careful not to scald yourself.
Note:
You can swivel the steam wand as desired in order to work comfortably. Hold the
steam wand only by the dark attachment.
